Remember the days when the Sacramento Kings were among the most marketed NBA franchises in the league and were sent to countries and cities where the league was looking to expand viewership?
Certainly seems like we’re getting back to those fun times.
Not only have we seen the Kings used more in NBA issued marketing (commercials, print media, etc) in recent months but the team will also be traveling to British Columbia, Shanghai and Beijing during their seven-game preseason schedule released today.
Those won’t be the only highlights though as the Sacramento Kings will also face off against Maccabi Haifa at Sleep Train Arena when all is said and done.
Sunday, Oct. 5 – @Toronto – Rogers Arena (Vancouver, B.C.) 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 7 – Toronto – Sleep Train Arena (Sacramento, CA) 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 11 – Brooklyn – Mercedes-Benz Arena (Shanghai, China) 9:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 15 – Brooklyn – MasterCard Center (Beijing, China) 4:30 a.m.
Saturday, Oct. 18 – MACCABI HAIFA – Sleep Train Arena (Sacramento, CA) 7:00 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 20 – @San Antonio – AT&T Center (San Antonio, TX) 5:30 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 24 – @LA Lakers – MGM Grand Arena (Las Vegas, NV) 7:00 p.m.
It’s certainly a preseason schedule full of travel and rather odd game times for the Sacramento Kings, so you might need to fire up your trusty DVR if you’re going to watch them all.
