The Sacramento Kings have always been a franchise who is more than willing to pay homage to their heritage, be it under the Maloof reign or Vivek Ranadive and company. Today is no different as the NBA’s catalog for the 2014-15 season was released and the Kings were featured as one of the teams who will be wearing a Hardwood Classics jersey.
Deemed to be part of ‘Heritage Night’ the Kings will join the Indiana Pacers and Toronto Raptors as teams to revert back for an evening (or several) as they wear Rochester inspired threads.
It’s not known if it’s only those three teams who will be participating, though, I’d assume a few more will join the ranks once the NBA officially announces such.
We’ve seen the Kings wear throwback uniforms plenty of times before, so it’s not exactly a new tradition as it will be for some teams participating. Still, it’s nice to see the Kings paying love to years gone by and to see the guys in new threads, even if it’s for a few nights every year.

The color scheme also goes well with the 30th anniversary celebration, so there should be plenty of red, white and blue for the Sacramento Kings this season.
