Earlier in the day, news broke suggesting that the Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls had spoken about a trade which would send the No. 8 selection in the 2014 NBA Draft to the Windy City, however what would be coming Sacramento’s way was still an unknown.
Few details emerged about the potential swap and when the talks even occurred, though Andy Katz of ESPN now says that Sacramento is fielding three offers for their selection in Thursday’s draft.
The Sacramento Kings are fielding offers from three teams for the No. 8 pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, sources with direct knowledge told ESPN Monday.
Sources said the Kings have two deals that could be done prior to Thursday’s 2 p.m. trade deadline to change the draft order and one would be a draft night deal, depending on which players are available when the Kings select.
While one might be the previously mentioned trade talks with the Bulls, there’s no confirmation of such yet. There have also been reports suggesting the Atlanta Hawks and the Sacramento Kings have spoken about a deal, though those rumors were talked about last week, so it’s really an unknown who the offers are coming from.
A handful of teams, like the Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks are said to have interest in obtaining an additional top ten pick, though again there’s no concrete evidence suggesting either of those teams are engaged with the Kings.
Either way, should be an interesting few days.
