Kings GM says they will be aggressive come 2014 NBA Draft

While we have an indication of where the Sacramento Kings will likely pick come the 2014 NBA Draft, we won’t know their official pick number until the NBA’s Draft Lottery is completed.

Whatever the case though, it appears the Kings are going to be open to the idea of moving up, down or completely trading away the pick. That’s the word of general manager Pete D’Alessandro who during another Reddit AMA suggested that Sacramento will continue to be aggressive in their approach, including the draft.

I clearly believe we need to be willing to move up, down or even out of the draft. We’ve been aggressive since we took the team over and will continue to be so until we see the progress we’d like to see.

No matter what takes place during the lottery, the Kings are going into a relatively deep draft with at minimum a good selection spot, so it should hold some rather solid market value, especially if there are teams wanting to trade up.
