Marcin Gortat says he doesn’t like DeMarcus Cousins

Although Marcin Gortat and DeMarcus Cousins only see each other twice a season now, there’s no love lost between the two – especially Gortat who randomly threw Cousins under the bus on Thursday.

The former Phoenix Suns center who’s playing in his first season with the Washington Wizards was asked about his encounters with Cousins during an interview with CBS Washington, but Gortat had nothing positive to say about the former Kentucky big man – suggesting he doesn’t like him at all.

Paulsen: DeMarcus Cousins is a scary guy — he’s 23 and he’s built like a tractor-trailer — you were going toe-to-toe with him. You were shouting at him from the bench, you had to be separated from him after the game. Were you just trying to get into his head? You wouldn’t have actually tried to throw down with DeMarcus Cousins would you?

Gortat: Well, let’s put it this way. I have two guys on my list, definitely, and he will be high on my list. Definitely.

Paulsen: This is your hit list for when fighting’s allowed in basketball?

Gortat: That’s the list of people I don’t like. Let’s put it this way.

I don’t get the feeling Cousins is sitting home crying over Gortat’s ‘list’, especially since Gortat wouldn’t even explain why he didn’t care for Cousins.

Guess we’ll have to wait until next year to see if Gortat backs up his tough guy talk.
