Sacramento Kings set to sign Chris Johnson

The Sacramento Kings have a roster spot open after parting ways with Orlando Johnson last week, a spot that they plan to use on Chris Johnson.

That’s the word from Sham Sports who reports Johnson is set to sign on Wednesday.

Tomorrow, the Sacramento Kings will sign former LSU Celtics, Blazers, Hornets and Timberwolves big man Chris Johnson. It is not known at this time whether it will be for the remainder of the season, multiple seasons, or a 10 day deal.

The 28-year-old is a obviously a well-traveled big man, but at 6’11, the Kings would probably like to see what the team looks like with some additional size.

There’s not much reason for the Kings to give Johnson a contract for the remainder of the season at this point, so it’s likely the deal will be that of the 10-day variety.
