DeMarcus Cousins helps donate 700 pounds of dog food to Sacramento animal shelter

It can be said that DeMarcus Cousins loves animals – especially dogs.

The Sacramento Kings big man has previously donated money to local animal shelters along with game-used gear (to be raffled off) to help dogs in need. Now he’s at it again as the former Kentucky Wildcat star donated 700 pounds of Dog for Dog food to Front Street Animal Shelter (along with the help of Dog for Dog who provided the goodies).

Life is good on Front Street when Demarcus Cousins drops by to deliver a seven-hundred pounds of DOG for DOG food and endorses Front Street Shelter pet adoptions. Another SLAM DUNK!

Cousins certainly has no problem finding his name in the headlines when it’s an over-publicized technical foul or suspension, but few pick up on his good deeds – be it buying food for animals or quietly playing Santa at local shopping malls and stores (not team sponsored events).

Very cool effort by Dog for Dog and DeMarcus Cousins, who himself owns four pit bulls – Sosa, Gotti, Capone and Blu.
