Everybody deserves a second chance, right?
That seems to be the feeling coming from the Sacramento Kings front office who are nearing a 10-day contract with forward Royce White, this according to Sam Amick.
The Sacramento Kings recently worked out 22-year-old forward and mental health advocate Royce White and are likely to sign him to a 10-day contract, two people with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports.
The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because no deal had yet been finalized.
The addition of White comes on the heels of the Kings reportedly agreeing on a 10-day contract with Orlando Johnson, a sentiment the young guard confirmed on Twitter Tuesday evening.
White, a talented product out of Iowa State, was drafted 16th overall by the Houston Rockets in 2012 and has struggled with anxiety related issues which eventually lead to a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers this past offseason.
White was expected to make the Sixers roster, but was a last minute cut.
The former Cyclone star had multiple public battles with the Houston Rockets front office, even once leaving the bench in the middle of the game, never returning.
Update: The deal has been made official.
