The Sacramento Kings have been attempting to trade Marcus Thornton for quite some time and it’s possible they may have found a suitor in the Brooklyn Nets.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Kings and Nets are having discussions about a deal that would send Thornton to Brooklyn in exchange for Jason Terry and Reggie Evans.

Sacramento and Brooklyn discussing a deal centered on Marcus Thornton for Jason Terry and Reggie Evans, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

While there may be more players involved, that’s the base layer of a proposed deal.

Wojo does suggest that it’s just one of many deals both Brooklyn and Sacramento are involved/talking about, so by no stretch is this a for sure thing – but it does appear to be on the table.

It’s not exactly much of a money saving deal for Sacramento as Thornton is due $8.5 million next season (the final year of his deal) while Terry makes $5.8 and Evans $1.7 in the final year of their deals next season. The addition of Terry would give the Kings more of a ‘true’ point guard however.
