Recap of Sacramento Kings’ Ben McLemore in Slam Dunk Contest (Video)

The 2014 Slam Dunk Contest left a lot to be desired, but Ben McLemore made sure not to dissapoint as the Sacramento Kings rookie threw down some of the most fantastic dunks of the evening.
Round one was of the ‘freestyle’ variety where McLemore, along with Harrison Barnes of the Golden State Warriors and Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers teamed up (Team West) for a minute and a half session which resembled a round of practice.

McLemore then went ‘head-to-head’ (for a lack of better terms) against John Wall of the Washington Wizards.
Ben opted to go for the theatrics (which brought the crowd of of their seats) and entered the court from the arena tunnel in a full King robe, escorted by a jester and minority owner Shaquille O’Neal. After a few moments attempting to get the crowd hyped up, McLemore (on his second attempt) dunked over O’Neal who was sitting in a very tall chair near the basket. It likely would have been the dunk of the night if not for Wall, who brought down the house just moments later.
Overall – extremely impressive showing from McLemore in what proved to be a pretty sub-par contest overall.
