Sacramento Kings to play on NBA TV after winning fan vote

Sacramento Kings fans sure know how to make the most of social media.

With the assistance of some Cleveland Cavaliers fans, Sacramento fans once again helped put the team on ‘national’ television as NBA TV has picked up Tuesday’s game between the two clubs.

Per CavsInsider:

The Sacramento Kings game against the #Cavs on TUE at The Q will now be televised by NBA TV, thanks to fan voting

This marks the second time in less than a month the Kings have been voted onto an NBA TV broadcast, the previous coming against the Indiana Pacers.

It’s not much of a huge deal for the locals, but for those not in the Sacramento viewing area who don’t have NBA League Pass, it’s one of the few times they get to watch the team live.

Sacramento’s game against Cleveland will be the third game of the current four game road trip which begins tonight in Boston.

The Kings will play Washington on Sunday before heading to Cleveland for Tuesday’s matchup. The Kings will end their road trip and enter the All-Star break on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks.

Update – There appears to be some confusion. The OKC-Portland game shows as the winner on NBA TV’s website, despite the tweet from CavsInsider.
