NBA Rumors: Trade interest in Jimmer Fredette, Marcus Thornton limited

Rumors have suggested the Sacramento Kings have been attempting to trade Marcus Thornton all season. So far they’ve yet to find any takers and according to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, they may continue to be met with resistance.

Kyler suggests the Kings have been active teams in the trade market (something many other reports have hinted at), but says the trade market for Jimmer Fredette and Marcus Thornton is limited.

The Kings continue to be active in trade talks. The two most mentioned names are guards Marcus Thornton and Jimmer Fredette. Combined they become an interesting salary cap value that could return a major salary player. The problem is there does not seem to be a whole lot of interest in either player.

Kyler goes on to say that the potential Jimmer Fredette-Andre Miller swap could eventually go down, but as of right now, there simply isn’t much of a market for either player.

Of course, that can change drastically as the NBA’s trade deadline nears.
