DeMarcus Cousins doubtful against Dallas Mavericks

The Sacramento Kings were hopeful DeMarcus Cousins would suit up against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday evening. And while that still could potentially happen, the more likely scenario is Cousins sitting out – this according to Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee.

Malone said he is not “optimistic” DeMarcus Cousins will play tonight at Dallas.

Cousins suffered a nasty sprained ankle during Sacramento’s loss to the Houston Rockets last week and has yet to play since.

The Kings play the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night on their Texas two-step trip, so it’s possible Cousins may take the floor tomorrow evening if he’s unable to play against Dallas on Friday evening.
