Crown Downtown nominated for 2014 VIBE award (Video)

Crown Downtown, one of the driving forces behind keeping the Kings in Sacramento was recently nominated for a 2014 VIBE award presented by Downtown Sacramento.

If you’re new to the VIBE award, I’ll let Downtown Sacramento explain:

The Downtown VIBE award, presented by SMUD stands for Visionary Innovators in Building Excellence and recognizes local leaders in downtown revitalization. In 2013 the VIBE award was presented to Sid Garcia-Heberger who has been involved with the Crest Theatre for more than 25 years, starting out as a self-proclaimed candy girl and moving quickly to her current position as CEO of CLSM, the corporation that operates the Crest.

Farm to Fork week took home the winning honors, which was created by the Sacramento Convention & Visitors Bureau, but that shouldn’t take away from the amazing effort put forth by Mike Tavares and the members of Crown Downtown.

They can’t be thanked enough.

You can watch Mike represent Crown Downtown in the following VIBE award nominations video.
