The Sacramento Kings could have a backup point guard in the very near future as Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN is reporting the disgruntled Denver Nuggets player is on the verge of being traded.
League contact today via text: “Andre Miller will be a Wolf or King by All-Star break.”
Wolfson, a Minnesota Timberwolves insider has shown plenty of accuracy in his reports before, so it isn’t a fly-by-the-night type of suggestion. Of course, things have been known to change but Miller has been linked to both the Kings and Timberwolves before. Miller was also linked to the Golden State Warriors, but their addition of Jordan Crawford all but ends that pursuit.
Other rumors have suggested in the past the Denver Nuggets are wanting an expiring contract for Miller. That leaves either Jimmer Fredette or Aaron Gray as the most likely candidates to be swapped, though with Miller’s $5 million dollar salary, the Nuggets will likely need to take on an additional deal to make things work.
A trade isn’t imminent of course, but sounds like it could be coming in the very near future.
