Sacramento Kings set to wear Google Glasses vs. Pacers

Earlier today the Sacramento Kings announced they would become the first major professional sports franchise to accept BitCoin as a form of payment, but that wasn’t the only news of the day.

According to owner Vivek Ranadive, the Kings will wear Google Glasses when they take on the Indiana Pacers on January 24th.

Testing complete! Kings ready to Go Glass on 1/24 vs the Pacers. See the game from an entirely new perspective.

Ranadive didn’t expand on how the glasses will be worn, but judging by the below video, one can assume they’ll be worn through warmups and introduction.

Here is an example of what can be expected:

Ranadive and the rest of the ownership group has been focused on not only improving technology surrounding the Kings, but to the league as well and this is just another step in the right direction.

Pretty amazing to see what Ranadive and the ownership group (Andy Miller, etc) have done in such a short amount of time with this franchise.
