Sacramento Kings rookie guard Ben McLemore often gets the jump shot artist stigma attached to his name. And it’s with good reason considering McLemore does enjoy shooting from beyond the arc and his game has drawn comparisons to that of NBA legend, Ray Allen.
But many forget that at one point, long, long ago, Allen was quite the dunker himself – as is McLemore, who displayed such during pregame warmups against the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday.
Going through the layup line, McLemore pulled out a typical ‘All-Star Dunk Contest’ throw down, but it wasn’t the slam that captivated most – it was the elevation.
Anybody who has watched the former Kansas Jayhawk at length before knows McLemore has no problem with his hops as evidenced in the below video:
I mean, at his peak, his hand and the ball are about a foot above the rim. And that’s not even the highest we’ve seen McLemore get this season.
