The Sacramento Kings battled the San Antonio Spurs tough Sunday evening, though despite the hard nosed effort, they couldn’t secure a victory.
Holding a nine point lead in the fourth quarter, the Kings squandered their advantage though still had an opportunity to win the game late. Unfortunately, they couldn’t do it and according to the Sacramento Bee’s Jason Jones, post game media was not immediately allowed into the locker room as an alleged shouting match took place after the tough loss:
Media time was delayed after some commotion in the locker room after the loss. Even with the yelling, everyone said things are fine.
The whiteboard that was broken after the game might not agree though. DMC (DeMarcus Cousins) could be heard yelling, he said everything is good.
A verbal sparring match isn’t much to be worried about considering it happens quite often and frustrations were understandably high after feeling like the Kings gave away a victory. And if you’re a glass hall full type, at least the team has a passion to win games – something previous rosters weren’t overly concerned with.
Regardless, probably not the way the Kings were hoping to start their Texas two-step road trip.
