Sacramento Kings complete team's largest holiday charity effort ever

While the previous ownership group was by no stretch a slouch to the Sacramento community (sans the final couple years), the new ownership group headed by Vivek Ranadive has taken the city by storm with their efforts.

Case in point – the Kings completed the team’s largest ever holiday charity effort according to a recent press release:

Over the course of the “12 Days of Giving Big,” the organization helped more than 6,000 underserved individuals in 12 neighborhoods in the Sacramento region from 45 organizations. More than 70 Kings staffers and 50 season ticket holders volunteered over 1,000 hours at local events including a toy drive for foster kids, food box distributions, and a breakfast with Santa. Including this effort, the Kings have already contributed more than $1 million to the Sacramento community this year.

Players up and down the roster helped contribute to the record breaking efforts, which as can be seen above, helped out the community tremendously.

Certainly makes you proud to be a fan of such a wonderful organization.
