Kobe Bryant will not make season debut against Sacramento Kings

If you were hoping to see a Sacramento Kings victory over Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night, I can guarantee one of the two won’t be happening as Bryant himself said he will not return against the Kings as the two teams tip-off the weekend.

Kobe Bryant just told me that he is NOT going to be playing Friday against Sacramento. He is not ruling out Sunday against Toronto, however

Speculation that Bryant could return against Sacramento began weeks ago as Bryant’s intended return date was around the scheduled Kings game. Add in that Bryant has been more than open about his love of playing in the house formerly known as Arco and it seemed like the perfect backdrop for Kobe to return, at least if he wasn’t going to come back during a home contest.

The masses of media and over abundance of Laker faithful won’t be as strong though as Bryant will remain sidelined for the second matchup of the season between the two clubs.

Los Angeles took the opening game 100-86.
