Kobe Bryant could make season debut against Sacramento Kings

What?! A Kobe Bryant post on A Royal Pain? Yes, I know – and no – I haven’t lost my mind nor did I eat a rancid cheeseburger, but there is Kobe news involving the Sacramento Kings, shockingly enough.

Bryant, who has been out since last season with an Achilles injury is nearing a return as he recently participated in practice with the Lakers this past weekend. Now, according to Kevin Ding of Bleacher Report, Bryant has been fully cleared for basketball activities:

Bryant has full medical clearance, I was told Sunday by someone in a position to have such knowledge—meaning he can do anything and everything without restriction as the recovery from his ruptured left Achilles tendon nears its conclusion

That said – the clearance doesn’t mean Bryant is going to take the floor right away. The Lakers have told Bryant he can return whenever he feels comfortable, leaving the decision up to him. Ding goes on to speculate that Bryant may opt to return against the Kings on December 6th (which he suggests is one of Bryant’s favorite road venues), despite some rumors popping up Kobe could return as early as this week.
