Sacramento Kings interested in trading for Iman Shumpert?

Just days ago, we were informed that the Sacramento Kings were exploring potential trade opportunities, but no names were linked with the rumors. That is, until now.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Kings are reportedly interested in New York Knicks swingman, Iman Shumpert:

Word is that the Nuggets do have a level interest — just not if the Knicks keep asking them to part with Kenneth Faried in exchange — while Sacramento is also said to be gauging how Shumpert might fit in.

Shumpert of course has been the subject of trade rumors in recent days and was seen in an extremely animated (and obviously not friendly) exchange with head coach Mike Woodson.

Sacramento of course has been getting near zero production from their small forward spot, so a move makes sense from a positional standpoint though Shumpert himself hasn’t exactly been playing at an elite level.

The former 2011 first round pick (17th overall) is signed through the 2014-15 season at $2.6 million with a $3.6 million dollar qualifying offer for 2015-16.

I feel woodson is the problem shump is not playing good and so is the team they had many practices to fix the defense so these performances are very abnormal, I know no one wants to blame felton but if a deal had to go down i would trade felton instead of iman, but felton has no trade values, no one likes that dude on their roster, so we got to get a new coach that will use beno and cole instead of the 3-5 min amare and the waste felton I rather have beno start and prigi come off the bench, this knick team is a real disgrace to watch.
