Remember last season when there wasn’t a single mention of the Sacramento Kings on the annual NBA general manager survey? Yeah, me too.
Things have changed though as the Kings, while not winning any of the ‘predictions’ do find themselves peppered throughout the list.
Getting the most love was rookie Ben McLemore who 10 percent of GM’s felt would be the best player to come out of the 2013 NBA Draft class in five years. Despite that, McLemore got no love in regards to the Rookie of the Year award, not even an honorable mention as Orlando’s Victor Oladipo ran away with that, claiming 80 percent of the votes.
The Kings’ first round pick, who dropped to seventh, was also given votes as to the draft’s biggest steal.
In addition to McLemore, both Chuck Hayes and Greivis Vasquez were given votes as to the players who make the most out of their limited physical abilities while Vasquez was also named as one of the best passers in the league.
Lastly, the team as whole was named as one of the most fun teams to watch for the 2013-14 NBA season.
