Katy Perry, Robin Thicke will not be at Sacramento Kings home opener

A few days ago, rumors began to leak that Billboard chart topping acts Katy Perry and/or Robin Thicke may be a special musical guest at the Sacramento Kings’ home opener against the Denver Nuggets.

Much to the disappointment of many, that will not be the case as Kings VP of Communications Donna Schwartze confirmed the news earlier this morning:

Although we aren’t ready to release all of the tricks we have up our sleeves for opening night, I can confirm that neither Katy Perry nor Robin Thicke will be in attendance.

However, that doesn’t mean the Kings aren’t going to do it big. While the team is not releasing details on the opening night festivities, from the sounds of it all, it’s going to be quite impressive.

Personally, I’m hoping for Shaq to come dressed as Kazaam where he and Vivek engage in a rap battle as video of Doug Christie punching Rick Fox loops over and over on the jumbotron.

No? Well, fine. Be a party dud.
