Sacramento Kings' broadcast voted best in league at NBA meetings

Although the Sacramento Kings were ranked as the worst professional sports franchise by ESPN Magazine, it’s not a sentiment the league shares – at least not when it comes to the broadcast team.

According to local radio host and Sacramento Kings play-by-play announcer Grant Napear, the Kings’ broadcast was voted as the top broadcast in the league.

Per Napear:

Very proud that Kings TV was recognized at NBA meetings today. It was voted #1 overall broadcast in NBA. My thx to our entire crew! #LLTK

Taking any purple tinted glasses off that I may occasionally wear, as an NBA League Pass subscriber, I’ve watched every home broadcast around the league and it’s hard to say any would be better than the Kings. The pregame interviews are always entertaining. The halftime pieces are quite possibly the best in the league as the broadcast often talks to players in their own element, be that at home or on the road, like when the Kings traveled to Memphis and a piece was ran on the cities cultural history. The postgame interview is far from the standard yawn fest you so often see – it’s just a wonderful effort all around.

Praise well deserved, in my opinion.
