Sacramento Kings to open 2013-14 training camp in Santa Barbara

The Sacramento Kings will be heading down the California coast in the next few weeks as the will open their training camp in Santa Barbara on October 1st.

The Kings will spend a week in the central (sort of) portion of the state before heading to Las Vegas where they will continue their camp before they take on the Los Angeles Lakers on October 10th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Per the media release:

The Sacramento Kings will tip-off 2013-14 training camp with a 10 a.m. practice on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Pavilion Gym in the Recreation Center located on the University of California, Santa Barbara campus. The Kings will practice through Sunday, Oct. 6 before traveling to Oakland for the team’s preseason opener against the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena on Monday, Oct. 7.

Sacramento will make its 2013-14 home debut versus the L.A. Clippers on Monday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. for the first of three preseason games at Sleep Train Arena, including a matchup with the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, Oct. 17 and the exhibition finale against Golden State on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
