The Sacramento Kings have finally beat the Los Angeles Lakers, well, at least in terms of watchability.
USA Today sports is in the midst of compiling their most watchable NBA teams this season and while the Sacramento Kings didn’t exactly rank high, they did leapfrog the Los Angeles Lakers who ranked 24th. The Kings came in one better at 23rd overall.
Per USA Today:
Overview: After a long, back-and-forth dalliance with Seattle investors, the Kings are staying put in Sacramento. That’s the good news. The bad is the roster remains in flux. Cousins is one of the most dominant big men in the NBA when he’s focused, but his headstrong approach has alienated many and could lead the team not to re-sign him. Sacramento will continue to struggle heavily on defense, but the offense should be entertaining.
I’m pretty shocked the Kings ranked that high in all honesty – not because they don’t deserve it – they do, as they should be relatively entertaining this season, but rather most pundits automatically put the Kings at the bottom by default. So big up’s to USA Today for not following standard operating procedure.
Sacramento beat out the Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, Charlotte Bobcats, Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers.
