For some reason, the Sacramento Kings seem to continually find themselves on ‘worst jersey’ lists across the interwebz. I’m not exactly sure why, either.
All homerism aside, the Kings’ uniform isn’t all that bad. Granted, it won’t even crack the top ten but to be among the worst? Hard to believe.
Even crazier though is the notion that the Kings’ black alternate is among the ten worse uniforms in professional sports, which the Toronto Sun suggested on Friday.
Why, you ask? Good question.
Per the Sun:
WHY IT’S HORRIBLE: The main reason this jersey sucks is because it blends old-school with new-school. The logo is vintage but the numbering and use of silver ruins the flow. Pick one or the other, not both.
I’m personally a fan of the black uniform so I don’t really mind the blending of the two generations. It also pays homage to the history of the franchise while keeping it in a more modern form, so, why that’s exactly a problem for the Toronto Sun is an unknown.
Either way, seems like they were just trying to find something wrong with it.
Joining the Kings are specific uniforms the Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Astros, Minnesota Timberwolves, Houston Dynamo, New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres and San Diego Padres.
