Earlier this week, Adidas signed a handful of NBA rookies to contracts, though none more popular in name than Sacramento Kings rookie Ben McLemore.
Adidas brought McLemore (along with the rest of their most recent additions) to Portland where the guys not only did promo shoots, but also showed off their new kicks and participated in a dunk contest – well – I guess you can call it that.
First off, the shoes.
While no player will be given their own signature line (obviously) they did show off some team specific models, much like the purple themed kicks that McLemore very likely will be rocking come opening night.
In addition to that, the rookies took part in a ‘dunk contest’ (and I use that term loosely) at the Adidas Village as you can see below. The clip is relatively short, though, McLemore who throws the ball up at the sideline gets the most camera time thanks to his elongated dunk.
Certainly not the most creative, but, it got the job done.
Think I gotta go with Tim Hardaway Jr. on that one.
The Eastbay Funk dunk never fails to impress.
