Boy. There’s a whole lot going on here, so I guess I’ll start with the more simple of the two topics and that’s shoes.
For any of you mid 90’s sneaker heads, you remember the 1992 Reebok Shaq Attaq and the 1995 Reebok Shaqnosis. They, along with the Penny Hardaway and Jason Kidd models were among the most popular sneakers outside of any Jordan’s and now Reebok is planning to relaunch both the Shaq Attaq and the Shaqnosis.
So who does Shaq think would be perfect to rock the shoes? None other than DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings.
Obvious answer, of course. It’s because Shaq says Cousins is like the 19th century German philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche.
Nietzsche was known to have a wild hair or two, which is where O’Neal apparently draws his comparison to the Kings big man:
“Right now he’s like the Friedrich Nietzsche of basketball. Friedrich Nietzsche was so intelligent, so advanced that people thought he was crazy. The way DeMarcus Cousins acts, really unorthodox – I like that. That tells me he has something inside.”
