The Sacramento Kings were all in on then free agent Andre Iguodala, offering the swingman a hefty deal earlier this month. However, just hours after the deal was publicly leaked, the Kings pulled the offer – something the former Arizona Wildcat was not happy with.
Both parties went on their separate ways with Iguodala nearly signing with the Dallas Mavericks before changing his mind at the last minute once the Golden State Warriors cleared enough cap room to sign Iguodala outright.
Iggy left more money on the table from the Kings, Denver Nuggets and apparently Mavericks – so it lead many to believe the 2012 All-Star was using the teams for nothing more than contractual leverage, especially Denver and Sacramento.
Whatever the case, it’s clear Iguodala still holds a grudge from the incident with the Kings as he took some shots at general manager Pete D’Alessandro today on Twitter:
Great job Pete Alassandro (sp?)
Despicable Me looking azz boi!
D’Alessandro of course was with Iguodala in Denver last season.
Stay classy, Andre.
