It’s been reported that both the Sacramento Kings and Tyreke Evans wouldn’t exactly mind a change of scenery and if the Kings have their way, it might just happen.

According to Sam Amick, the Kings are one of a handful of teams ‘in the mix’ for the services of former Arizona Wildcat star, Andre Iguodala.

Iggy earlier this week left $15 million dollars on the table by opting out of his contract with the Denver Nuggets and is now hoping to cash in with a market rich to spend.

Per Amick:

Couple free agency tidbits-Teams I’m hearing in the mix for Andre Iguodala: Denver, Hawks, Pistons, Kings, Mavs, Pelicans, Warriors, Rockets

The Nuggets have recently come out and all but declared Iguodala would be back, stating that they were “100% confident” he would return.

It seems like a bit of a long-shot at the current moment given the other potential suitors, but Vivek and company are pretty persuasive as we all know.

I really hope the Kings can make this happen. Kings are in desperate need of a veteran with enough game and experience to command respect in the locker room.

I would love if the Kings make a deal for Deng instead of Iggy. Nonetheless, either player will be great for our young roster. But it is essential that the Kings find ways to part with Salmons and Johnson.
