Although the Sacramento Kings have a general manager in place thanks to the hiring of Denver Nuggets VP Pete D’Alessandro, they may not be done restructuring their front office.

Former Boston Celtics general manager and current Memphis Grizzlies executive Chris Wallace has interviewed with the Kings three times now and could be brought on as the team President to assist newly hired D’Alessandro.

Per Ken Berger of CBS:

The Kings’ ownership group, led by Vivek Ranadive, is still working through how the front office will be structured and hasn’t ruled out hiring a team president to work alongside D’Alessandro, one person familiar with the situation said. Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace is the leading candidate for that position, the person said.

It’s been rumored for a few days now that the Kings were thinking of bringing in an additional executive with general manager experience to play an “advisory” role, something Wallace apparently is interested in.
