Sacramento Kings Granted Permission To Speak With Denver Nuggets VP Pete D'Alessandro

The Sacramento Kings are still going through resumes in search for a new general manager and it appears they’ll have to add another to their stack.

According to Sam Amick, the Kings requested and were granted permission to speak to Denver Nuggets Vice President of basketball operations, Pete D’Alessandro.

Per Amick:

The Denver Nuggets have granted permission to the Kings for them to speak with VP of basketball ops Pete D’Alessandro about their GM job.

D’Alessandro was a member of the Golden State Warriors front office from 2004 to 2008 before making his way to Denver. D’Alessandro, according to a Nuggets press release, was involved with just about every facet of basketball operations during his time by the Bay:

While with Golden State, D’Alessandro was involved in all player-related basketball matters, including player contracts, salary-cap analysis, and Collective Bargaining Agreement rules and regulations.

Prior to joining the Warrior and Nugget front offices, the St. John’s graduate spent seven years as a business manager and representative for a handful of NBA players.
