Report: Sacramento Kings Offer Isaiah Thomas For #19 Pick

So who’s up for a good laugh? You? Good – because I have one.

Bob Finnan of The News Herald reports that the Sacramento Kings are offering up point guard Isaiah Thomas in exchange for the Cavaliers #19 draft pick.

Per Finnan:

One unconfirmed rumor that’s surfaced is the Kings offering point guard Isaiah Thomas to the Cavs for the No. 19 pick. He’s only 5-9, but you could do a lot worse as a backup point guard. He averaged 13.9 points and 4.0 assists in 79 games.

I uh, uh, well I don’t even know where to start.

So I’ll just leave it like this.

Even if the Kings had desire to move Thomas (which they don’t, by the way), doing so for the #19 pick? There’s a good reason the rumor is “unconfirmed”.

Already lacking in point guard depth, moving Thomas would create an even bigger hole for the Kings. Add in the fact that Thomas is only scheduled to make a paltry $900,000 this coming season and the rumor seems even more laughable.

Moving on…
