NBA executives are in Sacramento today, meeting with elected members of the potential Sacramento Kings ownership group in regards to Sleep Train Arena as well as what would be the upcoming entertainment complex located in downtown Sacramento.
The news was first reported by Carmichael Dave:
SOURCES: NBA officials on the ground today touring Sleep Train Arena with members of Kings ownership elect.
And then later reported on by Dale Kasler of the Sacramento Bee:
NBA says league meeting w/Sacto re Sleep Train arena and new
#NBAKings arena in preparation for May 15 BOG meeting
In addition, Chris Kelly, who is part of the Vivek Ranadive ownership group told David Bienick that there has been no direct contact between the Ranadive group and the Maloof family, rather, they are working directly with and through the NBA at this current point.
The NBA did confirm that league executives were in town and reviewing both Sleep Train Arena and the downtown complex, though, sightings of NBA officials were sparse as only a few of the potential minority owners were spotted at Sleep Train today.
The meeting between potential owners and the league most likely not only focused on what would be at the downtown entertainment venue, but the small (though needed) improvements the group would be willing to put into the old barn before the Kings would re-locate to their new building.
