Mayor Johnson Says Several NBA Owners "Feel Very Good" About Proposal To Keep Kings In Sacramento

Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, who recently has been in New York, spoke to CBS’ Ken Berger yesterday on his Eye On Basketball radio show and while little new information came to light, Johnson did say that he has recently spoken with NBA owners who feel “very good” about the Sacramento bid to keep the Kings local.

Per CBS Sports:

Johnson said he’s spoken with several owners who “feel very good about where we are.”

Of course, for every positive, there is a negative – the negative being an unnamed owner who doesn’t share the same opinion as the group Johnson named:

One owner told CBSSports.com he had doubts about Sacramento’s offer, saying, “The check’s in the mail, and that’s not good enough. The check’s got to arrive.”

Along with that – you have owners, say like Michael Jordan of the Charlotte Bobcats, who don’t really seem to care about the situation at all – which really shouldn’t sit well with Seattle or Sacramento fans:

Bobcats owner Michael Jordan, asked if he had anything to say about Kings: I’m just worried about my own team.
