Seattle Looking To Milwaukee Bucks If Kings Relocation Is Declined?

The city of Sacramento along with the local fan base have put up quite a fight for the Sacramento Kings – a fight that many outside of the California capital may not have expected, at least, not with the tenacity that’s been shown.

There’s no way of knowing yet if that tenacity along with the financial support of the city and potential new Kings ownership group will save the Kings from relocation to Seattle, but if it does – it appears the Emerald City already has eyes on a new NBA franchise.

With a H/T to Greg Wissinger, JP Cadorin of Sports 32 in Milwaukee is reporting that the Bucks may be next in line if the efforts to extract the Sacramento franchise are declined:

Editor of Seattle Times just spoke, confirmed that if Seattle doesn’t get Sacramento, Milwaukee will likely be next target

Seattle was just asked again what short list is: Sacramento, Milwaukee. Stopped there. When pressed, said New Orleans a few years ago was #3

The Milwaukee Bucks’ situation has been in limbo for some time after suggestions leaked that current majority owner Herb Kohl was looking to put the team up for sale. There were rumors that a Chicago-based businessman was looking to purchase the franchise and keep it local, but, nothing has been imminent on that front and the news has quieted down over time.
