Sacramento King Fans Pledge Nearly $2 Million In Season Tickets To New Owners In An Hour

You don’t think the fans of Sacramento are serious about keeping their Kings? How about putting their money where their mouth is – putting up nearly $500K dollars in potential ticket revenue in less than a half hour.

Here We Buy, an organization started by King fans (and one very helpful King fan in Mr. Carmichael Dave), has put up a form on their website where loyal Sacramentians can pledge their “donation” (if you will) in season ticket form to keep the Kings in Sacramento and in just over 15 minutes time, nearly $365,000 dollars was offered up.

In the short amount of time it took me to write this post, another $60K was given – currently sitting at $420K.

And while there is currently no exchange of real dollars in this scenario, King fans have shown they’ll back up their talk – from local businesses committing millions in sponsorship money to the Kings to help get the arena plan approved in the past to fans renewing their season tickets to keep the Kings in Sacramento, some of the most loyal fans in the NBA are showing their true colors and we couldn’t be more proud.

Keep up with the rising dollar amount by visiting the Here We Buy website.

Update:

And King fans just continue to bring the ruckus – the total at nearly $1.7 million in TICKET SALES in just over an hour. Amazing.
