Keys to the Game:

1.) D-E-F-E-N-S-E

-Normally I wouldn’t spell it out but in the case of the Sacramento Kings, I really need to spell it for them. This team was the worst in the league last year in points allowed, time after time giving up easy buckets and infuriating fans. The coaching staff had one goal in the pre season and that was to improve the team defensively. While it will take time for this team to improve their communication on defense and not allowing easy buckets, we have already seen signs of improvement. The best time to start the defensive turnaround is the present, and what better of an opportunity then against the Chicago Bulls. If the Kings can keep the Bulls from surpassing 100, they have a great chance of starting the season with a win.

2.) Unleash the Beast

-If the Kings want to have a successful season it will come down to one man, and that man is DeMarcus Cousins. If you were impressed by Cousin’s 18 point 11 rebound season, you haven’t seen anything yet. I firmly believe this will be the first of many years DeMarcus Cousins is an All Star as he now has the chance to have a 20-10 season. If the Kings want to see Cousins represent Sacramento in the Western Conference, Keith Smart will have to plan the attack around him. Feed the big man down low and he will win you some games. Tonight it will be a battle vs. Joakim Noah, but we all know who is the better player. Cousins has the advantage and if he has a great game the Kings will come out with the victory.

Team MVP: DeMarcus Cousins 21 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks

Prediction: Kings 97 Bulls 94
