Sacramento Kings' Tyreke Evans "Flashing Lights" Mixtape

Dealing with injuries, trade rumors and playing out of position, it’s been a rough couple years for Tyreke Evans. The 2009 NBA Rookie of the Year hopes to recapture the magic of his freshman season this year as he’s finally feeling healthy and the trade rumors have been squashed – at least for now.

Entering a semi-contract  year (he’ll be a restricted free agent at season end), it’s make or break for the former Memphis Tiger and don’t think he doesn’t know it. An improved Kings squad and assumed healthy Evans could open some eyes in the NBA’s Western Conference – we all know what Evans can do when motivated and healthy.

If you’ve forgot, I suggest you check out this wonderful mix from The Churro Maniac, which features Evans in all his glory – certainly one of the better NBA mixes on YouTube.

If the Kings plan on contending for a low-level playoff spot this season, they’re going to need the real Evans to show up and I have a feeling the struggles of the past two seasons will be a distant memory. I know he’s taken it on the chin from King fans – sometimes myself – but it’s his time to shine.

Here’s to a return to form, Reke.
