If you haven’t been following the Playoffs, there is plenty of time to get on-board. Miami is playing the Celtics at Boston today. It is at 8:30 EST; 5:30 Pacific time on ESPN. Watching the series play is one way to survive the off-season as a Sacramento Kings fan. These teams are great examples of what playoff teams should look like.
The San Antonio Spurs came out with two back-to-back wins at home to put the series at 2-0. Basically, everyone was predicting the Spurs would handily win the series. Not so fast. With home court advantage Thunder came back to win both games to even up the series. Last night, it was Kevin Durant who had twitter buzzing about him. He came on strong to take over the fourth quarter.
Both the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder have been compared to the Sacramento Kings. The Spurs have been compared because like the Sacramento Kings it is another small-market team. The Thunder has been compared because it is predominantly a young team. These teams show they can be successful even operating in a small-market with young players.
The Heat was expected to roll over the aging Celtics. I confess, I basically wrote off Boston. At home, Miami won the first two games of their series. Boston, came back and won Game Three. Tonight’s game is going to be critical for Boston to win. As much hype Miami has enjoyed with the LeBron and Dwayne Wade combo, the veterans show they still have some smarts. Will that be enough to even up the series? We will find out tonight.
At this point there is no clear winner to the Eastern Conference or the Western Conference. Which two teams do you believe will be competing against each other in the Finals?
UPDATE: Both Series (Eastern and Western) are tied 2-2 .
