Kings' Isaiah Thomas Named To NBA All-Rookie Second Team, Jimmer Fredette Voteless

When the NBA’s Rookie of the Year voting was released, there were some pretty upset fans in the Kingdom once it was realized that the Kings’ Isaiah Thomas placed seventh in voting. Even Thomas himself was flabbergasted, his remarks on Twitter an obvious questioning of the media vote.

But alas, the All-Rookie teams were still to come – voted on by the more knowledgeable NBA head coaches who opposed Thomas this year. So what did they think of his game? Well, he did make the squad, although it was via the Second team as he placed ninth overall in terms of vote totals, the second highest vote total on the Second team with 27 votes overall (5 votes for first team, 17 for second)

Thomas’ teammate and fellow rookie, Jimmer Fredette failed to capture a lone vote while Nikola Vucevic of Philadelphia captured a second place vote. So, uh, yeah.

Thomas still wasn’t thrilled with his reception among the NBA’s head coaches:

Haha there’s still DOUBT!! Watch what I do to these cats nxt year #TMC
