Kings’ DeMarcus Cousins Shines In NBA’s Rising Stars Game

Credit: Kim Klement-US PRESSWIRE

As the Sacramento Kings lone representative at All-Star weekend (unless you count Slamson), DeMarcus Cousins made sure he did the purple and black faithful proud, pouring in 18 points along with 11 rebounds in his Team Chuck’s win.

DeMarcus, who played 25 minutes in the tilt was the odds on early MVP as he started the game with multiple powerful throw-downs, but the potential MVP trophy slowly began to slide away as Cousins took his seat on the bench. DeMarcus’ teammate, the Cleveland Cavaliers Kyrie Irving became unconscious midway through the first half  – hitting 8 of 8 from three point land, en route to 12-13 from the field for 34 points to go along with 9 assists.
