DeMarcus Cousins The Lone King In NBA's All-Star Rising Stars Game

While many had hoped that fan favorite Isaiah Thomas along with Jimmer Fredette would be named to the NBA’s All-Star Rising Stars game (yes, the name and format has changed), those hopes were dashed this afternoon when the NBA released their rosters which only featured one King, sophomore DeMarcus Cousins.

The Kings second year big man will take part in the “new” styled game, which now includes a draft where NBA greats Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal will play the roles of GM and coach, putting together their teams piece by piece.

As for Thomas and Fredette, there are some injury concerns with the current rosters (such as the New Jersey Nets’ MarShon Brooks), so it’s possible they could find themselves on the roster as an injury replacement, but for now, only one King will be playing that special Friday night.
