The list just keeps getting more impressive by the day.
What started off as a fan idea and grew into a few Sacramento Kings playing in a pick-up game has turned into quite a big name tilt. In addition to a handful of Kings, which includes DeMarcus Cousins and Tyreke Evans, Donte Greene confirmed that vaulted Kings rookie Jimmer Fredette will be taking the court for the first time in Sacramento – something King fans have been anticipating since the June draft. The Kings other two rookies, Isaiah Thomas and Tyler Honeycutt will both be taking part as well.
In addition to the Kings near roster taking part, NBA superstars like John Wall and Kevin Durant have now confirmed their participation in the charity event (Wall was on-board the the first night) and the rosters are still far from complete, so you’ll be seeing more players added as the date draws even closer.
The game itself will take part November 20th at UC Davis. Make sure you follow Donte Greene’s Twitter for more information and announcements on the Goon Squad Classic (#GSC hashtag on Twitter).
And of course, a big props to KFippin for designing that wonderful logo.
