When Allen Iverson isn’t on a basketball court, chances are, he’s most likely drinking and/or gambling. So, of course it makes sense that the former MVP set-up a two-day exhibition tournament in Sin City that features many of the game’s top young players.
The ‘Las Vegas Superstar Challenge’ (creative, huh?) tournament is comprised of four teams, which are as follows:
Team Rookies – Derrick Williams, Kenneth Faried, Jordan Hamilton, Iman Shumpert, Darius Morris, Klay Thompson, Jimmer Ferdette, Kyrie Irving and Reggie Jackson
Three Kings are scheduled to take part in the festivities (rosters are not complete yet so we may see another King or two added later).
As for the format? It’ll resemble a typical Final Four style with games at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Nov. 12, the winners meeting for the championship at 3 p.m. Nov. 13. The winning team receives $100,000 and the games will be played under normal NBA rules, with
better than NBA collegiate referees.
All of the games will be broadcasted on iLinkSports.com, IF, you want to pay $4.99.
