A lot of people were miffed when the Kings let Jermaine Taylor go – mostly because he did show some talent in the little amount of floor time he received. Nobody was going to confuse him with Tyreke Evans, but as a low man on the bench he could prove to be a nice asset, especially in the scoring department.
Taylor sat down for a Q&A with his hometown CFF student newspaper and gave a brief glimpse as to why he and the Kings parted ways a few months ago:
CFF: The Kings waived you at the end of the season; how did that go down?
Taylor: With Sacramento, I told the owner, “If I’m not in your plans for next season, if I’m not going to play 20-30 minutes a game, then let me go so I can find some place I can place where I can prove myself.”
Loved your high flying and easy ability to score Jermaine, but yeah – even the Kings couldn’t find twenty minutes of floor time for you.
But I hear China is fantastic this time of the year.
