Anaheim Considering Arena Upgrades - More Nails In Sacramento Coffin

The news seemingly continues to get worse and worse on a daily basis for King fans – at least those in the Valley. Today we’ve learned via the Bee (with a H/T to STR) that the city of Anaheim is considering issuing bonds for improvements to its Honda Center arena – of which include renovated locker rooms and a practice facility.

No way to spin this one here folks. It’s going to take a minor miracle for something to fall through – and even if it did, it seems the Maloofs are in the process of burning far too many bridges for repair.

Say what you will about the Maloofs, past and present – the way they’re going out is shameful, especially to a fan base who has supported them the way Sacramento and the greater surrounding area have. I’m not angry with them for a potential move (well, I am, but you get it) – I am however angry for the way they’ve treated King fans lately. If there was ever a fan base that deserved to have their sports fandom fed into a meat grinder by their owners, the Kings would be near the bottom of that list.

Maybe they should give ‘ol Art Modell a ring – he seems to be just as good with fan relations.

Possibly better…

I do say remember this – the grass is always greener, boys.
