Houston Rockets Patrick Patterson Reaches Out To DeMarcus Cousins

Patrick Patterson, former Kentucky teammate of DeMarcus Cousins and current Houston Rocket made what he hopes was a very helpful and beneficial phone call to the Kings big man on Valentine’s Day. According to the Houston Chronicle, Patterson reached out to Boogie with the goal of bringing the rookies focus to on the court issues and to just be a friend, overall.

Per the Chronicle:

Rockets rookie forward Patrick Patterson said he spoke to former Kentucky teammate DeMarcus Cousins to offer support after Cousins was fined and held out of a game after a post-game altercation with teammate Donte’ Greene.

“He just has to deal with what he did,” Patterson said. “It’s a stressful time when you have off the court issues with a player on your team. “

You may recall it was Patterson who helped Cousins deal with the after effects of the Jared Swopshire incident against Louisville last year.
